A few more senior portrait marketing tips

Just a few more things that will help you build a senior portrait business.

  • have a marketing plan
  • have sales goals for you sessions. Don’t just go in and start shooting. Find out what your client wants in terms of styles and products, then create images based on those things.
  • Know what makes you unique. “Being unique” is not a unique selling point, it’s what do you offer that’s unique. What do you DO that nobody else in your market does.
  • Be able to answer the question, “why should I come to you.”
  • Practice practice practice. Stay educated both in the industry and latest trends for your market. Spartists is a great resource.
